💳 Payment Policy

1. Subscription Plans

NihonStudy offers the following plans:

3. Paddle Payments

NihonStudy uses Paddle as our primary payment processor for card and online payments. Paddle acts as a Merchant of Record, meaning:

• Your payment is processed by Paddle, not directly by NihonStudy
• Your card statement may show "PADDLE.NET" or "Paddle"
• Paddle handles tax compliance for applicable regions
• Paddle's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your transaction

Paddle is PCI DSS compliant and uses industry-standard encryption for all transactions.

4. Bank Transfer

Bank transfer is available for users who prefer direct payment. To pay via bank transfer:

• Contact us at nihonstudycontact@gmail.com with subject "Bank Transfer - Premium"
• We will provide our bank account details
• Include your registered email in the transfer reference
• Premium access will be activated within 1-2 business days after payment confirmation

Bank transfer is available for Sri Lanka (LKR) and international transfers (USD).

5. Cryptocurrency Payments

We accept the following cryptocurrencies:

• Bitcoin (BTC)
• Tether (USDT — TRC20 / ERC20)
• Other major cryptocurrencies upon request

To pay with cryptocurrency:

• Contact us at nihonstudycontact@gmail.com with subject "Crypto Payment - Premium"
• We will provide our wallet address
• Send the equivalent USD amount in your chosen cryptocurrency
• Share the transaction hash for verification
• Premium access activated within 24 hours of blockchain confirmation

6. Billing & Subscription

6.1 Automatic Renewal

Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the current plan price unless you cancel before the renewal date.

6.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

• Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period
• You will not be charged for the next period
• No partial refunds for unused time (see Refund Policy)

6.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

7. Taxes

Prices shown may or may not include applicable taxes depending on your location. Paddle automatically calculates and collects applicable taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) for card payments. For bank transfers and crypto, taxes are the responsibility of the buyer as per their local laws.

8. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will:

• Notify you via email
• Attempt to retry the payment (for Paddle subscriptions)
• Downgrade your account to Free tier if payment is not resolved within 7 days
