2. Description of Service

NihonStudy.com is an online Japanese language learning platform designed for SSW (Specified Skilled Worker) students across Asia. Our services include:

• Japanese language lessons (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, Grammar, Vocabulary)
• JFT Basic and JLPT N5/N4 preparation materials
• Mock tests and practice quizzes
• SSW Market Japan — classifieds marketplace
• Community forum for Japanese learners
• Find a Sensei — Japanese teacher directory
• Jikoshoukai generator
• Free and Premium subscription tiers

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One person may not maintain more than one account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our platform.

4. Free vs Premium Services

4.1 Free Tier

Free users have access to basic learning content including Hiragana, Katakana, basic Vocabulary, and limited lessons. Free access may include advertisements and usage limits.

4.2 Premium Tier

Premium subscribers get full access to all content including:

• All grammar lessons and verb forms
• Full JLPT N5/N4 preparation materials
• Unlimited mock tests
• Ad-free experience
• Priority support
• Advanced Jikoshoukai features
• Full SSW Market access

Premium subscriptions are billed as per the plan selected at checkout. All fees are non-refundable unless stated in our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Share misinformation or false content
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the platform
• Sell or transfer your account to another person
• Use automated tools (bots) to access the platform
• Post spam or unsolicited promotional content in the forum
• Infringe on intellectual property rights

6. Content Policy

6.1 User-Generated Content

By posting content (forum posts, marketplace listings, reviews), you grant NihonStudy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform.

6.2 Prohibited Content

• Adult or sexually explicit content
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Violence or threats
• Scams or fraudulent listings
• Copyrighted material without permission
• Personal information of others without consent

6.3 Marketplace Listings

All SSW Market Japan listings must be accurate and legal. We are not responsible for transactions between users. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates our policies.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on NihonStudy.com including text, images, logos, lessons, quiz questions, and code is owned by NihonStudy and protected by copyright law. You may not:

• Copy or reproduce our content without permission
• Redistribute our learning materials
• Use our branding without written consent
• Create derivative works based on our content

Personal use of learning materials for your own study is permitted.

8. Payment Terms

By subscribing to Premium services, you agree to pay the applicable fees. All payments are processed securely through our payment partners (Paddle, bank transfer, or cryptocurrency). Prices may change with advance notice. See our Payment Policy for full details.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

NihonStudy.com is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• That exam preparation will result in passing JFT or JLPT exams
• The accuracy of all learning content
• Availability of specific features at all times

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NihonStudy and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or exam failure.

11. Privacy

Your use of NihonStudy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
